Our Work Plans

The fundamental purpose of the Scottish Health Council is to promote greater public involvement in NHS services and to ensure that quality improvement is driven by the needs of the thousands of people who depend on the NHS every day. The work we do addresses one or more of our core functions:

  • Community Engagement and Improvement Support – providing proactive and tailored support for NHS Boards
  • Participation Review – review and evaluation of NHS Boards' approaches to participation
  • The Participation Network – a centre for the exchange of knowledge, support, development and ideas.

Corporate Plan

Our Corporate Plan is entitled The Way Ahead - delivering in the future.  It outlines our five-year strategic direction and overall aims from 2007 to 2012.
