Gathering views and experience of maternity and neonatal services

In October 2015 the Scottish Health Council was asked by Scottish Government to develop and deliver a programme of public engagement across all NHS Board areas. The purpose was to gather views from people who had used maternity and neonatal services in the last four years to inform a National Review of Maternity and Neonatal Services in Scotland. The National Review aims to examine choice, quality and safety of maternity and neonatal services in light of current evidence and best practice.
