e-Participation and the NHS: using social media for feedback and engagement

• NHS Board Designated Directors and PFPI leads
• NHS Board complaints and feedback officers and leads
• Staff from other sectors (local authority, social care, police, education...) who use social media to engage with their stakeholder communities and to collect actionable feedback

What:

This FREE day-long conference is an opportunity for staff in the NHS and other sectors to share their experiences and learn from each other in relation to using social media to develop relationships and dialogue with communities and how to use feedback from patients and communities to improve services. Delegates will:

• hear how the use of online technologies has developed
• see examples of innovative approaches
• have an opportunity to ask questions of experts and try the technology out for themselves
• explore how to overcome barriers to using technology more effectively
• hear Scottish Government expectations regarding the use of social media in the NHS.

This is a follow-up to a conference held in September 2011 and a seminar during Social Media Week in September 2012.
