On 1 April 2011, NHS Quality Improvement Scotland became Healthcare Improvement Scotland and the position and role of a Local Advisory Council member ended. We are currently looking to introduce a completely new way of involving volunteers in our work to support the organisation's revised functions which were introduced in 2010.
We produced a Discussion Document and gathered feedback and views on the proposals it contains through a consultation with stakeholders which ended on 20 March 2011. We are currently reviewing this feedback to inform the way forward.
